Should I follow the new federal guidlines on mammograms?

The recent federal study regarding mammograms is not the recommendation of most physicians. This study did not include the opinions of any breast cancer specialists or surgeons. If the federal rules are followed, an additional 11,500 women will die annually from lack of diagnosis. The College of OB/GYN recommends a baseline mammogram between 35-40, and yearly thereafter.
