What is the Adiana tubal ligation?

The Adiana is the newest technique for a bilateral tubal ligation. It is a hysteroscopic approach meaning it is done through the cervix and uterus and therefore no surgical incisions are required. Through a camera that is placed inside the uterus, the fallopian tubes are identified from the inside of the uterus and polymer plugs are placed into each tube. The polymer plugs then slowly scar into each tube causing tubal occlusion.
