What are the different types of female tubal ligation?

Terms to describe tubal ligation: female/tubal sterilization and tubal occlusion. One type is performed laparoscopically through small incisions in the abdomen. The tubes are then burned/cut or small clips are clamped over the tubes. Female sterilization is most easily accomplished at the time of a C-Section, should a patient undergo a scheduled C-Section. Another type is performed hysteroscopically through the vagina/cervix. Coils are then placed inside the tubes which eventually scar and occlude. The last type is colpotomy performed through an incision in the back of the vagina.
