A pessary is a silicone ring or cube that is placed in the vagina to help with incontinence and prolapse. It is often done as an alternative to surgery for these conditions. Many women find significant improvement of their symptoms with this device. It is particularly helpful in women that are not able to tolerate surgery because of other health issues.
